Luigi & Iango's 'Corpi Speciali' at Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea Explores the Contemporary Body

exhibition · 2026-10-12

The Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome will host 'Corpi speciali,' an exhibition featuring over 200 works by the Italo-Swiss artists Luigi Murenu and Iango Henzi, running from 13 October to 29 November 2026. Curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti and organized by Tenderstories, the display showcases both unpublished images and well-known portraits, delving into themes of vision, desire, and authenticity. It critiques conventional beauty ideals while celebrating the materiality and diversity of the human form. Alfano Miglietti emphasized the exhibition's themes of kindness and contemporary inadequacy. A catalogue will be published alongside the event. Murenu and Henzi have produced more than 300 magazine covers and participated in numerous esteemed exhibitions.
