Las Mitocondria Brings 'Botànica Domèstica / Herbario Nuovo' to Universitat de València's La Nau
The artistic duo Las Mitocondria is showcasing 'Botànica Domèstica / Herbario Nuovo' at the Centre Cultural La Nau, Universitat de València, until 22 November in the Sala Oberta and cloister. Since 2008, visual artist María Ángeles Vila Tortosa and choreographer Alicia Herrero Simón have collaborated to delve into themes of memory and nature. The exhibition highlights historic herbaria, including Castore Durante's 16th-century 'Herbario Novo.' Vila has crafted a contemporary herbarium and a significant installation in the courtyard. Herrero Simón leads 'Radicum,' a choral performance featuring 30 women, inspired by Suzanne Simard's 'Wood Wide Web.' On 17 November, a seminar organized by the Associazione Internazionale Aromas Itinerarium Salutis will host experts from various areas.
