Fondazione Mudima Revisits Helmut Schober, from Vienna Actionism to Luminous Abstractions
"Helmut Schober. Luce e Movimento" is currently on display at Fondazione Mudima in Milan, showcasing the work of Helmut Schober, who was born in Innsbruck in 1947 and passed away in Milan in 2024. The exhibition, curated by Dieter Ronte and running until 30 October 2026, marks Schober's third showcase at the foundation. Installed by Fayçal Zaouali and supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum Milan, it includes a special edition of "La Scuola delle Cose." Schober, who trained in Vienna, considered Milan his second home. The exhibit features his creations from the 1970s to contemporary light compositions, including "Concerto 1" (1977), "Figura con idolo" (1985), and "Campo di battaglia 1" (1985), as well as later paintings and significant works like "Lumen 3" (2007).
