Egle Oddo's Another Story Tackles Media Art's Repeated Names, Opens in Helsinki
Egle Oddo, an artist from Palermo born in 1975 and currently residing in Helsinki, initiated the project Another Story after her analysis of the Pixelache archive spanning from 2019 to 2022. She discovered a limited group of featured artists and curators. In 2022, she collaborated with curator Kisito Assangni, who authored Disentangling Archives: The Case of Pixelache Helsinki. With support from various organizations, the project includes curators Assangni, Basak Senova, and Kari Yli-Annala, set to debut on 11 September 2026 at the Helsinki Museum of Technology and EMMA, starting with Assangni's segment. The artworks will be archived in the U.S., Sweden, and the U.K., featuring contributors like Kongo Astronauts and Yto Barrada. The research phase continues until 2028.
