Dory Zard Brings "Poligoni in rotazione" to Rome's The Shell Libreria Bistrot

From 17 to 20 September 2026, The Shell Libreria Bistrot in Rome — at Vicolo della Fontana 28 — hosts "Poligoni in rotazione. L'estetica dell'algoritmo tra geometria e colore," a solo exhibition by Dory Zard. The show places two distinct phases of the artist's long-running investigation side by side in a single space, making visible a research trajectory that spans more than fifteen years, from early acrylics on panel to vector graphics and digital tools. Zard's method hinges on the regular polygon and the principle of its rotation around a fixed axis, a precise point where painting ceases to be intuition and becomes system. The constructive logic is as rigorous as it is generative: triangles, squares, pentagons and other geometric figures are repeated and progressively rotated around the same center until they return to their starting position. The number of renderings is not arbitrary — a polygon with n sides appears n+1 times.
