Daniele Sigalot's Mirror Map of Rome Installed at Italy's Chamber of Deputies
On September 8, 2026, the Camera dei Deputati in Rome unveiled "Un ritratto di chiunque a Roma" (A Portrait of Anyone in Rome), an exhibition by Daniele Sigalot, with curation by Guicciardo Sassoli de' Bianchi. The highlight is a 2.5-meter mirror-polished steel map of Rome, which reflects the fragmented images of viewers alongside the city's grid. Additionally, fourteen 2-meter-tall banners showcase portraits of individuals who posed with the map. During the opening, Sigalot produced new live portraits, expanding the exhibition's archive. This event is part of the worldwide initiative "Un ritratto di chiunque, ovunque," which started in 2021. Sigalot previously created "Master of Mistakes," a 3-meter-tall sculpture at Fiumicino Airport, completed in 2024.
