Corrado Levi at 90: Sigilli, ceralacche e memorie Opens at Galleria Luisa Delle Piane in Milan

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Corrado Levi, a Turin native born in 1936, presents "Sigilli, ceralacche e memorie" at Galleria Luisa Delle Piane in Milan, under the curation of Beppe Finessi, with the exhibition open until October 10, 2026. The showcase highlights Levi's eclectic works, such as "Lampada di Edipo" (2003), alongside homages to artists like De Pisis and Boetti. As he approaches ninety, Levi contemplates his homosexuality, which he openly acknowledged in 1979 with "New Kamasutra." During the 1980s, he spent time in New York, resisting the influence of large galleries. A significant exhibition at Palazzo Reale, scheduled for spring 2024, was canceled following Levi's hospitalization in late 2023. His publications include "Soggettività Opere Luoghi" (2013) and "Corpi" (2021). This article is authored by Francesca Pasini.
