Carrie Mae Weems: „The Heart of the Matter“ al C/O Berlin
Fino al 3 febbraio 2027, al C/O Berlin è visitabile la mostra „The Heart of the Matter“ dell'artista Carrie Mae Weems, nata nel 1953 a Portland, Oregon. Questo progetto è nato in collaborazione con la Gallerie d'Italia di Torino e Aperture di New York. All'inaugurazione, Weems e la curatrice Sarah Hermanson Meister hanno guidato i visitatori attraverso le sale espositive. Al centro dell'esposizione c'è la „Kitchen Table Series“ (1989-1990), composta da 20 fotografie e testi, che mostra Weems in diverse fasi della vita seduta al tavolo. Altre opere presentate sono „Family Pictures and Stories“ (1978-1984) e il cortometraggio „Leave Now!“ (2022). Nel 2024, Weems è stata insignita della „National Medal of Arts“.
