Carol Rama and Rick Owens Furniture in Dialogue at VOENA Milan

From 18 September to 20 November 2026, Milan's VOENA gallery showcases DIALOGUES: Carol Rama with Rick Owens Furniture. This exhibition juxtaposes Rama's artistic exploration with Owens's sculptural furnishings, arranged by Michèle Lamy. Although they hail from different eras and disciplines, both creators reshape their personal narratives and materials into innovative expressions. Edoardo Voena reveals that the concept originated during a discussion at the gallery; Owens's pieces were previously exhibited in 2017, and Rama had ties to his grandparents. The show merges art and design, featuring a significant installation that allows interaction with Owens's furniture. Both artists provoke unease, with Rama's creations drawing from childhood and Owens's inspired by California skateparks, particularly from the 1960s and 1970s.
