Biennale dello Stretto 2026: "NON IN SENSO STRETTO" Explores Design Topologies Between Calabria and Sicily
From 18 September to 13 December 2026, the Biennale dello Stretto 2026 will present "NON IN SENSO STRETTO – Per una topologia del design tra Calabria e Sicilia," curated by Francesco Alati at Forte Batteria Siacci in Campo Calabro. This initiative, coordinated by Giusi Buono and jointly supported by ADI Calabria and ADI Sicilia, delves into the connections between one's origins, education, movement, and creative endeavors. A selection committee, featuring Alati, Annalisa Spadola, and others, has chosen sixteen projects for the exhibition titled "Nuovi codici del design," which links new designers with established names like Mario Trimarchi. The project will also feature activities throughout Calabria and Sicily, fostering discussions on the significance of design in development. Visiting hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 19:00.
