AURA: Valentino Garavani Meets Ewa Juszkiewicz at PM23 in Rome

exhibition · 2026-10-18

The exhibition AURA showcases thirty-eight garments by Valentino alongside twenty-six artworks by Ewa Juszkiewicz. Organized by the Fondazione Valentino Garavani e Giancarlo Giammetti, it will be held at PM23 in Rome from 18 October 2026 to 21 February 2027. This display delves into themes of femininity, identity, and the evolution of perception, featuring Juszkiewicz's latest piece, A PORTRAIT in VALENTINO RED, which draws inspiration from a dress in Valentino's Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2007-08 collection. Born in Gdansk in 1984, Juszkiewicz reinterprets female portraiture by concealing faces with natural forms. Valentino Garavani, who was born on 11 May 1932, established his first atelier in Rome in 1959 and stepped down from creative leadership in 2008.
