Arrigo Musti's ImPop Poetics: Venice Biennale, MoMA Projection, and Palermo Amnesty Exhibition

exhibition · 2026-09-13

Arrigo Musti, a painter hailing from Palermo, transitioned from a legal profession at the age of twenty-eight to focus on art and human anatomy. He utilizes a technique known as ImPop, which combines shiny surfaces with unsettling themes. During the 61st Venice Biennale, Musti showcased his mixed-media triptych, Broken Bridges (2025), at the Grenada Pavilion from July 24 to July 26, 2026, including an artist talk on July 24. Additionally, on June 19, 2026, MoMA in New York presented Poliedrica (2024), created for Duca di Salaparuta S.p.A.'s bicentennial. In Palermo, his work Passepartout for Freedom will be featured at Palazzo Chiaramonte Steri for Amnesty International's 65th anniversary, running from May 27 to October 30, 2026.
