Andrea Previtali, Bellini's Disciple, Surveyed at Museo Villa Bassi Rathgeb in Abano Terme
The Museo Villa Bassi Rathgeb in Abano Terme is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Andrea Previtali, curated by Raffaele Campion and Barbara Maria Savy, which will be on display until 7 February 2027. Among the highlights are three panels from a dismembered polyptych originally created for the Santissima Annunziata church in Serina, showcasing Saints Peter Martyr, Nicholas of Tolentino, and a bishop recognized as Saint Nicholas of Bari. Previtali, who studied under Giovanni Bellini from 1502 to 1510, created numerous works before returning to Bergamo in 1511. The exhibition also features pieces such as the Madonna di Padova, Madonna del latte e san Giovannino, and Madonna con il Bambino leggente. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, operating Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00.
