exhibition · 2026-10-22

Agnieszka Mastalerz's exhibition titled "The Props Assist the House" is on display from 3 October to 22 November 2026 at the Istituto Polacco di Roma and Serra Moresca di Villa Torlonia in Rome. Curated by Gaia Bobò, the show reflects her research conducted from 2020 to the present, with support from the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and Perlage Arte Foundation, as well as assistance from Roma Capitale and Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali. The exhibition's title is inspired by a poem from Emily Dickinson written in 1863. Born in Łódź in 1991 and currently residing in Warsaw, Mastalerz examines themes of individual freedom and socio-political roles. It includes three projects: "Supports" (2020–2026), "Remainder" (2025), and "Nodes" (2024), along with her involvement in various residencies.
