Ada Marino and Nico Mingozzi Dual Exhibition at Glenda Cinquegrana Art Consulting in Milan

Glenda Cinquegrana Art Consulting in Milan presents a double solo show by Ada Marino and Nico Mingozzi, curated by Glenda Cinquegrana with Rebecca Delmenico, as part of the Milano Centrale Festival. The exhibition, running until November 7 at the gallery's via Settembrini location, explores memory and identity through photography. Ada Marino, a Neapolitan artist based in Wales, contributes works from her series Pater Familias and New Moons. Pater Familias examines patriarchal power through domestic tableaux vivants, while New Moons suggests a possible future where scars become coordinates of reclaimed sovereignty. Nico Mingozzi, a painter and photographer from Ferrara born in 1976, presents works that deconstruct photographic documentation. His practice involves cutting, burning, and stitching vintage postcards and anonymous archival materials, transforming portraits into wounded organisms. The curatorial approach juxtaposes Marino's geometric rigor with Mingozzi's iconoclastic physicality, creating a dialogue about the fragility of the self and the violence of time. The exhibition positions photography as an open wound and a promise of radical redemption, offering a profound reflection on the medium's role in preserving and dissecting memory.
