Yunchan Lim Shines at BBC Proms 2025 Opening Night

The 2025 BBC Proms season opened at the Royal Albert Hall in London on July 18, headlined by pianist Yunchan Lim. The 21-year-old South Korean virtuoso performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3, earning a standing ovation. The program also included a new commission by composer Josephine Stephenson and an orchestral arrangement of Oasis's 'Wonderwall'. Conductor Vasily Petrenko led the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert marked a solid start to the eight-week festival, which runs until September 13.
