Art Basel Hong Kong's Echoes Section Showcases Recent Works from Global Artists

Art Basel Hong Kong has introduced a new section called Echoes, dedicated to artworks created within the past five years. The section features focused presentations from galleries worldwide, highlighting emerging and established artists. Among the notable works are Hyun Nahm's 'Whistle,' which blends traditional Korean aesthetics with technology to explore digital consumption; Leelee Chan's geometric wall relief 'Cambium Wanderer'; Tiffany Chung's embroidered map tracing global spice trade routes; and Kei Imazu's digital paintings addressing socio-ecological issues. Other artists include Cian Dayrit, Natalia Załuska, Jakkai Siributr, Li Yiwen, Daniel Boyd, and Lewis Hammond, whose works engage with themes like colonialism, cultural memory, and contemporary anxieties. The event is part of Art Basel Hong Kong, occurring in 2026.
