Wigmore Hall and Apple Music Classical Launch Artist-First Digital Platform

In celebration of its 125th Anniversary, Wigmore Hall Live is reintroducing itself as a digital-only platform in collaboration with Apple Music Classical. Adopting an artist-first approach, the Hall covers all production expenses and ensures that artists receive 100% of the royalties. Each year, four digital-only recordings will debut, with exclusive premieres on Apple Music Classical for a period of three months. The inaugural release, set for June 5, showcases pianist Boris Giltburg performing Beethoven sonatas, recorded live in February 2025, along with a commentary track from the artist. Director John Gilhooly highlighted the initiative's commitment to preserving the intimacy of live performances while providing robust support for artists.
