VOLTA Basel 2026 Returns with 78 Galleries and New Curatorial Sections
VOLTA Basel enters its third decade with 78 galleries from 26 countries, introducing FRISCHE! for emerging galleries and Everywhen Pavilion for contemporary Aboriginal art. The fair runs June 19–21 with free admission for Basel residents from 2–4 PM. Belgian designer Xavier Lust joins as design partner, providing furniture for collector lounges. The 5000 Edit offers works under 5,000 CHF from over 30 galleries, available online pre-fair. EMERGE + ENGAGE talks explore global art market evolution and emerging talent discovery. 15 Swiss galleries highlight local scene strength. Artistic director Lee Cavaliere praised Lust's innovation, noting his benches at Tate Modern and Hong Kong waterfront.
