V&A and arebyte Present Digital Meetup: Systems at Play with Five Artists

On Friday, 23 October 2026, from 17.30 to 21.00, the V&A South Kensington will host an evening titled Digital Meetup: Systems at Play, featuring five artists who will present installations, workshops, and discussions. This event, created in collaboration with arebyte Digital Art Centre, explores how interactions between humans and machines influence modern creative practices. Admission is free and no tickets are necessary. Olivia Ema showcases an installation that reinterprets reality, with her photograph as the event's cover. Emir Johnston introduces drawing robots for attendees to create artwork, while Maria Than allows participants to paint digital mandalas using their voices. Ambie Drew will conduct a workshop on video glitching techniques, and Freddie Sanders will experiment with satellite data to create digital landscapes in Blender. This meetup is part of the V&A's Digital Meetup series, designed for digital artists, designers, and anyone interested in art, design, and technology, fostering collaboration and skill-building. It also coincides with Digital Art Season: On Agency, which investigates the interplay between human and machine agency.
