The Home Office confirmed it is reviewing West's entry permission, noting it possesses authority to exclude individuals, as demonstrated when it revoked Dutch far-right activist Eva Vlaardingerbroek's Electronic Travel Authorisation in January for spreading misinformation. Festival Republic managing director Melvin Benn defended booking West as headliner despite what he called "abhorrent" comments, arguing the artist has a legal right to perform and that his music is widely available on commercial radio and streaming platforms without controversy. Benn emphasized West would not be permitted to express opinions from the stage.
