Turin Launches First Festival del Paesaggio Fluviale Along the Sangone Stream in Mirafiori
From September 25 to 27, the inaugural Festival del Paesaggio Fluviale "Il fiume che ci attraversa" will be held in Mirafiori Sud, Turin. This complimentary three-day gathering offers workshops, geological excursions, sound art performances, and public discussions aimed at reestablishing the connection between the city and its rivers. Organized by the Fondazione della comunità di Mirafiori, Orti Generali, and Città di Torino, the festival is part of the ClimaGen European initiative. Curators Licia Soldavini, Caterina Selva, and Lorenza Manfredi have crafted a program that merges academic inquiry, contemporary art, and community engagement. Notable events include Melma Crew's Swamp Jam, Dialoghi Inaspettati discussions, guided walks, family-oriented activities, and a documentary screening, all focusing on raising awareness of the Sangone.
