TOLM Studio Creates 3D Motion Design Film for Estonian Public Broadcasting Launch

The design studio TOLM has produced a 3D animation and motion design piece titled OP Launch Film for Estonian Public Broadcasting. This project serves as both a studio film and the introductory sequence for a weekly cultural magazine program. The work explores philosophical themes about perception, specifically examining the relationship between light and darkness, presence and absence. The studio questions whether existence depends on illumination and visual observation, or if reality emerges from the interplay of shadows, suggesting an ongoing conflict between light and dark. Sound design for the film was created by Janek Murd, who composed the soundtrack. The project acknowledges contributions from Antti Häkli and Mariina Mälk of ETV (Estonian Public Broadcasting) for providing creative freedom and time to realize the studio's vision. TOLM handled both design and direction for the project, with Estonian Public Broadcasting as the client. The film represents a visual investigation into fundamental questions of visibility and existence through contemporary motion design techniques.
