Tokyo's Autumn 2026 Art Season: Night Museums, Festivals, and Major Exhibitions
The 2026 autumn art season in Tokyo is set to include a variety of events. The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture will host the first-ever Autumn Night Museum 2026 from November 5 to 27 across six venues, allowing evening visits until 8pm on chosen Thursdays and Fridays, with students enjoying free admission after 5pm. Roppongi Art Night 2026 is scheduled for October 31 to November 1, featuring installations and performances, including pieces by French artists and a retrospective on Mariko Mori. Moon Art Night Shimokita will occur from September 18 to October 4, showcasing approximately 100 installations. Additionally, the Invisible Garden exhibition at POLA Museum Annex will run from September 16 to November 8, while TOKYO ATLAS will display contemporary art from October 10 to December 20.
