Tokyo Gendai 2026 Returns to PACIFICO Yokohama with New Miki Sector and Dior as Premium Partner
The fourth edition of Tokyo Gendai is scheduled for September 11–13, 2026, at PACIFICO Yokohama, with an exclusive VIP preview taking place on September 10. The event will showcase five distinct sectors: Galleries, Hana, Eda, Tane, and the newly introduced Miki sector, which will emphasize works on paper and photography. Notable galleries participating include Pace Gallery, Sadie Coles HQ, and Taka Ishii Gallery. Umar Rashid, known as Frohawk Two Feathers, will be honored with the 2026 AMA Artist Award. Taka Ishii Gallery will present new pieces by Adam Pendleton, while KOTARO NUKAGA will feature works by José Parlá and others. Dior will sponsor "Hiroshi Sugimoto: Extinction" at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, until September 13. SMBC Group serves as the Principal Partner, and Perrier-Jouët is the Official Champagne Partner.
