digital · 2026-08-26

The official trailer for The Remarried Empress, a 10-episode fantasy romance K-drama, has been released, following last month's teaser. The series premieres with a four-episode launch on November 4th, 2026, with two new episodes each Wednesday through November 25th. It will stream exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ outside the U.S. Before its streaming debut, the first three episodes will screen at the On Screen section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, running October 6th–15th. The story follows Navier, empress of the fictional Eastern Kingdom, whose marriage to Emperor Sovieshu collapses when he falls for a runaway slave, Rashta. Sovieshu requests a divorce to be with Rashta; Navier agrees on the condition that she can marry Heinrey, crown prince of the rival Western Kingdom. As Rashta aims for the throne, Navier fights to reclaim power amid romance, betrayal, political intrigue, fantastical creatures, and lavish costumes. The cast includes Shin Min-a as Navier, Ju Ji-hoon as Sovieshu, Lee Jong-suk as Heinrey, and Lee Se-young as Rashta. The series adapts the Naver webtoon written by Alphatart and illustrated by SUMPUL, which has nearly 3 billion views; it was first a web novel. Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choong-yeol wrote the screenplay, with Cho Suwon directing.
