Texneo Novum Festival transforms Blumenau into digital art hub with exhibitions, videomapping, and immersive experiences

The second edition of the Texneo Novum Festival takes place in Blumenau, Brazil, from July 2 to August 23, 2026, occupying the Museu de Arte de Blumenau (MAB) and public spaces. Curated by Anna Moraes and directed by Tailor Morais, the festival features over 40 Brazilian and international artists under the theme "Tecido Futuro" (Future Fabric). The MAB hosts three exhibition nuclei: Imagem em Movimento (video art, animations, interactive experiences), Imagem em Tecido (digital images printed on fabric), and Tecido Futuro (a participatory installation by Pedro Gottardi built collectively by visitors). Public programming includes immersive concerts at Praça Rosenplatz on July 31 and August 1, and a videomapping projection on the MAB facade on August 8. Free workshops on generative AI, digital art history, animation, and videomapping are offered on Saturdays, along with guided visits for schools. The festival aims to democratize access to digital art and consolidate Blumenau as a hub for art, technology, and innovation in southern Brazil.
