Teatro Oscar and Teatro degli Angeli Announce 2026/2027 Season

The Teatro Oscar and Teatro degli Angeli in Milan have unveiled their 2026/2027 season, titled after Leo Tolstoy's question 'What Do Men Live By?' The season includes 58 shows, eight new productions, and special projects across two venues. It opens with FOOLS – Il Festival del Giullare (October 5–11), featuring comedians Max Angioni, Katia Follesa, Luca Ravenna, Mattia Stanga, Federico Basso, Carlo Amleto, and PanPers, plus a new Premio Garpez for under-35 comedians. Giacomo Poretti makes his directorial debut with 'Bobby,' starring Ippolita Baldini and Francesco Brandi. Highlights include 'La morte e la fanciulla' by Le belle bandiere, Mario Perrotta's tribute to Italo Calvino, Arianna Scommegna in 'Resto qui,' and Pino Petruzzelli's 'Rom e sinti. L'olocausto dimenticato' for Holocaust Remembrance Day. The season also features 'Il Teatro della Mente,' 'La Bibbia che non ti aspetti,' 'Che mito sei?,' and new series 'Il Romanzo di Milano' with Sonia Bergamasco, Lino Guanciale, Franco Branciaroli, and Massimo Popolizio. The Teatro degli Angeli continues its focus on contemporary languages, disability inclusion via 'Oltre le barriere' with Casa Teatro UMANA MENTE, and introduces Gianmarco Bizzarri as junior artistic director and 'Bottega Bonacina' writing lab. The season follows a successful year with over 28,000 spectators and 160+ events.
