Sydney Contemporary 10th Edition: 100+ Galleries, 500+ Artists, 15 Projects
From September 3 to 6, Sydney Contemporary will celebrate its tenth anniversary at Carriageworks, featuring over 100 galleries and more than 500 artists from 33 different countries. The festival will include 15 public art installations and performances, stretching out to Barangaroo and the Sydney Fish Market. A standout is Australian photographer Luke Hardy, presenting new works from his 'FOXFIRES' series, inspired by Japanese folklore, marking his third appearance. PARKER Contemporary will showcase Matthew Hurdle's innovative paper art, including 'Self Portrait {when my hands relax I can sleep}', which transforms an old black T-shirt into paper, alongside pieces from artists like Melissa J. Harvey and Ross Woodrow. The Swan River Print Studio will introduce 'The Light We Breathe,' featuring talents from Western Australia. Art Almanac is the media partner for this major event.
