SWELL Sculpture Festival 2026: Over 100 Large-Scale Works Along Gold Coast Beach
From September 11 to 20, 2026, the 24th SWELL Sculpture Festival will take place along the ocean pathway stretching from Currumbin Beach to Flat Rock Tugun in Queensland, Australia. This yearly event features over 100 large sculptures and numerous smaller pieces, making it the top outdoor sculpture exhibition in Queensland. More than 300 artists, both local and international, will contribute, with pop-up exhibits throughout the Gold Coast. The festival includes the SWELL Smalls Gallery by the beach, cultural events at SWELL Fringe in Wallace Nicoll Park, and Kids Elements in Lenn Wort Park, Currumbin. With breathtaking rock formations as a backdrop, the festival is a must-visit for art lovers. A photo of Claudia Hickel's 'Daydream' from last year’s event is credited to Leximagery (LEXI6256).
