Supercondominio8: European Independent Spaces Gather in Piedmont to Rethink Exhibition-Making
The upcoming eighth edition of Supercondominio8, named 'Il Bene Comune', is set to take place on September 5-6, 2026, in Dogliani and Bene Vagienna, located in Cuneo, Piedmont. Curated by Treti Galaxie, established by Matteo Mottin and Ramona Ponzini, this gathering emphasizes exhibition processes and the significance of independent spaces in fostering community involvement. Launched in 2018 by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev at Castello di Rivoli, the event has adopted a more itinerant format since 2024. On September 5, Teatro della Chiesa Sacra Famiglia will host presentations from ten invited spaces, followed by Roberto Casti's 'Paper (Script)' performance at 22:00. The next day, at 9:00, Luigi Presicce and Francesco Lauretta will showcase 'La Scuola di Santa Rosa', wrapping up with a roundtable discussion at 11:15. All activities are free and conducted in English.
