Steve McQueen's 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 S N.A.R.T. Spider to Make Auction Debut at Gooding Christie's
On November 21, a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 S N.A.R.T. Spider, which was originally delivered to Steve McQueen, will be auctioned for the first time at the Gooding Christie's Rétromobile New York sale. This vehicle, chassis No. 10453, is one of just 10 produced and was ordered by McQueen through Luigi Chinetti after he convinced Enzo Ferrari to develop a successor to the 250 California Spider. Initially delivered in Blu Sera, McQueen had it modified and repainted. Following an accident, he sold it in 1971 to J. David Kopf, who owned it until 1985. In 1986, it was purchased by Ferrari collector Anthony Wang. The estimated auction value is between $15 million and $20 million, while a similar N.A.R.T. Spider fetched $3.96 million in 2005.
