Solange Knowles Curates Glass House Summer Party with Saint Heron

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the annual Summer Party at Philip Johnson's Glass House in New Canaan, Connecticut, was curated by Solange Knowles's Saint Heron collective. This historic 49-acre site was transformed into a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and art. Inspired by the 'Glory to Glory' series, Saint Heron featured performances by pianist Artina McCain, conductor Malcolm J. Merriweather, and Voices of Harlem, who presented spiritual compositions by Mary Lou Williams, along with a dance piece by choreographer Kyle Abraham. The day was filled with soulful sounds from the band Standing On the Corner and included an artistic intervention by Dozie Kanu. Notable attendees comprised artists and cultural leaders, who savored picnic baskets from Elm, wine, cocktails, and refreshments. Max Mara's Italian Summer Café offered espresso and gelato, while copies of CULTURED's CULT100 issue were given as gifts.
