Slovenian Director Olmo Omerzu's Family Drama 'Pour Klára' Premieres April 8

The film 'Pour Klára,' directed by Slovenian filmmaker Olmo Omerzu, is scheduled for release on April 8. The narrative centers on a family vacation along the Adriatic coast, where father David attempts to reconnect with his two children. During this trip, his daughter Klára experiences her first romantic relationship, but a sudden violent incident disrupts their holiday, forcing an early return home. Klára, already in a fragile state, is deeply impacted by this event, leading her parents to take extreme measures to ensure her safety. Omerzu, a graduate of Prague's FAMU film school, is known for examining human nature and family dynamics in his work. His previous films have been showcased at international festivals including the Berlin International Film Festival and San Sebastian. His third feature, 'Winter Flies' from 2018, earned him the Best Director award at Karlovy Vary and six Czech Lion Awards, alongside selection at the Toronto International Film Festival. In 2021, he presented 'Bird Atlas' at Karlovy Vary. The film is promoted in partnership with the Club Artistik Rezo.
