SLEEK and CIFRA Host Breakfast for Cao Fei at Kunstmuseum Basel
On June 16th, SLEEK magazine and art platform CIFRA co-hosted a breakfast at Kunstmuseum Basel's Studio of the Present honoring Beijing-based artist Cao Fei, who appears on the cover of SLEEK issue #89, PLAY. The event drew a who's who of the international art world, including Max Hollein (director and CEO, Metropolitan Museum of Art), Klaus Biesenbach (director, Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin), Christiane Paul (curator of digital art, Whitney Museum of American Art), Sabine Himmelsbach (director, House of Electronic Arts Basel), artist duo Eva & Franco Mattes, media artist Mario Klingemann, and Damian Chandler (Brunswick Arts). Cao Fei, known for exploring urban reality, technology, and collective memory, spent the breakfast engaging with guests.
