Simone Rocha debuts menswear at Pitti Uomo, redefining masculinity with lace and silk

Simone Rocha presented her first menswear collection at Pitti Uomo in Florence, staged at the historic Teatro della Pergola. The 38-look show reimagined masculinity through lace, feather boas, silk, and pearl embellishments, blending tailoring with romantic, feminine details. Rocha described the collection as a reflection on contemporary masculinities, inspired by the Grand Tour—a 17th- and 18th-century educational journey through European cultural capitals. Models represented archetypes like the artist, worker, performer, husband, and friend. Key pieces included black suits with floral bouquets, white lace shirts under oversized blazers, satin handbags, and a finale white silk taffeta dress paired with a gray checked suit. The collection offered a playful, diverse take on male identity, challenging traditional gender norms in fashion.
