Sharjah Architecture Triennial 2026 Theme and Participants Revealed
Scheduled from 14 November 2026 to 14 April 2027, the Sharjah Architecture Triennial (SAT) will be curated by Vyjayanthi Rao and Tau Tavengwa under the theme "Architecture Otherwise: Building Civic Infrastructure for Collective Futures." The event will showcase the work of 32 international contributors who will investigate the urban impact of architecture through various mediums such as films, installations, performances, lectures, and workshops. Highlights include Kush Badhwar's film on Navi Mumbai International Airport, Another Empty House's examination of Gulf migrant support networks, and Tumblespace by Aslıhan Demirtaş, Ali Cindoruk, and Dilşad Aladağ. Additional participants are Azza Aboualam, Badriyah Alsalem, Hiba Bou Akar, Sa'dia Rehman, Samar Halloum, Social Design Collaborative, Sudarshan Shetty, Ziad Jamaleddine, ABARI, and BARDStudio.
