Seven Japanese Design Exhibitions at 3 Days of Design 2026 in Copenhagen

At 3 Days of Design 2026 in Copenhagen, Japanese design took center stage with seven exhibitions highlighting the synergy between Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. Issey Miyake's A-POC Able debuted its O Series lamp in new colors for the Scandinavian market. Designer Tomomi Yokoyama presented Origamine, a Japandi collection combining washi-paper folding with Danish-style furniture, alongside Takashi Seino's 3D-printed upholstery. Tokyo-based Time & Style returned for a second year with a larger show in Nordhavn. Keiji Ashizawa's Ishinomaki Laboratory marked its 15th anniversary with 15 key furniture pieces, choosing Copenhagen over Milan for its intimate scale. Dynaudio and Karimoku Case collaborated with Norm Architects on an immersive listening experience in Indre By. OEO Studio and Jens H Jensen curated Japanmade Vol 1, featuring Karimoku's MAS sub-brand and New Light Pottery. Nagasaki's EETAL Project made its international debut with works by Studio Monoya, Siin Siin, and Japan Benex. The event ran from 10 to 12 June 2026.
