SELVA HUYGENS Presents AEROSPATIAL S/S27 at HKW During Berlin Fashion Week
On July 5th, the creative duo Cristian Huygens and Natalia Golubenko debuted AEROSPATIAL, the Spring/Summer 2027 collection from SELVA HUYGENS, at the Weltwirtschaft am Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) during Berlin Fashion Week. The presentation, documented by photographer Thilo Wilcke, unfolded as a cinematic triptych exploring 1960s space-age optimism versus contemporary reality. The show opened with "The Dream," featuring retrofuturist A-line and trapeze silhouettes in warm sunset tones, then shifted to "The Collision," with sharp lighting and armor-like structures made from car parts, and concluded with "Reconstruction," transforming automotive components into fluid, wearable pieces. Over 90% of materials are upcycled, recycled, or deadstock, sourced partly through a performative "collection walk" across Berlin and combined with premium deadstock textiles from Beglarian Fabrics. The collection, inspired by Tarkovsky's Solaris, acts as a mirror to collective futures. SELVA HUYGENS has previously dressed Lady Gaga, Jared Leto, and FKA Twigs. The brand is recognized as one to watch.
