Scaf Paints Perspective-Driven Mural for Southend City Jam 2026

For the fifth edition of Southend City Jam, an annual street-art festival held in Southend-on-Sea, UK, French artist Scaf has unveiled a new mural. This artwork can be found at Alexandra Street Car Park (SS1 1DA), situated close to the city centre. Scaf, who hails from Lorraine in northeastern France, is recognized for his unique style that merges realism, comic-book aesthetics, and anamorphic techniques. His murals often incorporate architectural elements to create three-dimensional effects, featuring recurring themes of animals and pop culture icons. After the event, which ran from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026, Scaf praised City Jam as 'incredible' and expressed gratitude towards Ster and Ekto, along with other artists. The festival, organized by Southend-on-Sea City Council and local advocates Steve Hart and Karl Sims, allows artists to paint on permanent walls and temporary structures. While the live events have ended, temporary festival walls will remain until 13 September. Scaf's contribution further enriches the evolving mural collection established by City Jam in Southend.
