Robert Pattinson Discusses 'Primetime' and the Ethics of Predator-Catching TV at London Film Festival
On Sunday, Robert Pattinson participated in the London Film Festival to talk about his role in the A24 crime thriller 'Primetime', where he portrays Chris Hansen, the NBC journalist known from 'To Catch a Predator' (2004-2007). He characterized the film's storyline as 'the most terrifying thing' for parents and recognized the show's intricate legacy. Pattinson pointed out the rise of similar themes on social media. In response to Hansen's 'bizarre' critique of the film, director Lance Oppenheim explained that it was intended to be a 'fever dream'. Oppenheim is also co-directing a documentary on Elizabeth Holmes. At 40, Pattinson has had a prolific year with roles in 'The Drama' and 'The Odyssey', and regarding the Batman production halt, he remarked, 'We don't know yet.'
