Rivian Launches Ghostbusters Halloween Software Update Across EV Lineup
Rivian has teamed up with Sony Pictures to launch a Ghostbusters-themed software update for its electric vehicles, available from October 9 to November 2. This update includes a Ghostbusters app featuring a red toggle switch that synchronizes interior lighting, sound, and exterior displays. The Trick or Treat Mode activates themed visuals and plays the iconic Ghostbusters theme. Vehicle owners can select from six light-and-sound experiences and modify lock sounds. The voice assistant takes on a spooky tone and can initiate light shows. Additional offerings include a scavenger hunt and an arcade game named 'Mallow Mash.' Rivian also collaborated with Bill Murray and Gil Kenan for an advertisement and designed a custom Ecto-R1 vehicle for display. On October 2, Rivian announced 19,248 deliveries for the third quarter, marking a 46% increase compared to the previous year.
