Révélations China 2026 moves to Shanghai, doubling its footprint

After a successful debut in Beijing in September 2024, the Révélations China fair will relocate to Shanghai for its second edition, scheduled for November 19–23, 2026. The event, organized by Ateliers d’Art de France and Global ACE, will double its exhibition space in the city center, aiming to become a major hub for the Asia-Pacific region. The 2024 edition featured 126 artisans across 32 stands, occupying 1,200 square meters, with participants from 16 countries. The 2026 fair expects 50,000 visitors, including 10,000 professionals. It will coincide with the International Artwork Trade Month, which groups numerous art events, exhibitions, and auctions. The city of Nanjing, recognized by UNESCO for its Yunjin brocade—a textile craft over 1,600 years old—will be honored. The selection committee is led by Estelle Yanfeng LI, president of Global ACE. French glass artist Jonathan Ausseresse, a 2021 winner of the Ateliers d’Art de France competition, created the visual identity for 2026 with his work 'Fluence,' combining glass and volcanic stones. Glass will be a highlighted theme, with off-site programming at the Shanghai Museum of Glass. The fair also aims to introduce the French concept of 'slow made' to Chinese audiences. A permanent gallery under the label 'Empreinte' is planned to ensure ongoing presence of French craftsmanship in China. The list of international exhibitors will be announced in early summer, with the final list in fall.
