Raffaele Fiorella's Digital Procession 'Corteo' on Arshake

Arshake presents Raffaele Fiorella's 'Corteo' as its Special Project #21, a digital procession of fantastical figures derived from his terracotta series 'Per una lunga attesa'. The creatures, originally seated in physical sculptures, now walk in a digital space accompanied by a soundtrack by sound artist Gabriele Panico. The work, created between 2024 and 2026, was previously shown in the group exhibition 'Play Dead!' at Kora Centro del Contemporaneo (December 2024 – March 2025) and in 'Dove non siamo stati' at the Museo Archeologico di Santa Scolastica di Bari (October – December 2025), curated by Giuliana Schiavone with artistic direction by Elisabetta Sbiroli, set design by Vera Granger, and general coordination by Roberta Giuliani. Fiorella, born in Barletta in 1979, is a visual artist and teacher who combines sculpture, installation, and new media, exploring interior landscapes through video-mapping and digital projections. He lives and works in Puglia, teaching Digital Applications for Visual Arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari.
