Puglia Showcase presents regional theater to international operators
From July 1 to 4, 2026, Puglia Showcase offered a snapshot of theater in the Apulia region, featuring productions selected by a national jury. Held in two theaters in Fasano, the event attracted about two hundred guests, including Italian and foreign operators—mainly from Japan, South Korea, South America, and various European countries—along with some journalists. They were accommodated in three hotels and gathered for dinner at the fortified masseria Pettolecchia, decorated with lights, as part of the Villaggio Puglia initiative. The showcase aimed to highlight the region's theatrical output against a backdrop of growing tourism, spurred by investments from the Vendola regional administrations, the redevelopment of Bari Vecchia, and increased low-cost flights to the capital.
