The announcement came on June 12 via their X account, @PlayPudgyParty, and the game has been taken down from both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. CEO Luca Netz mentioned to the community that the project cost the company millions, which was later verified by a spokesperson. Despite initially topping the Apple App Store download chart and earning over 1 million downloads while winning Decrypt's GG 2025 Game of the Year, the focus is now shifting to Pudgy World, a browser-based game introduced in March 2026.
