Prada Mode 14th Edition Launches at Katz's Deli and Chelsea Hotel in New York

festival-fair · 2026-06-05

Prada Mode, the Italian label's roving cultural platform, kicked off its 14th edition in New York with events at two iconic locations: Katz's Deli and The Chelsea Hotel. On Wednesday evening, Katz's Deli—closed to the public for only a handful of times since 1888—hosted a private party with pastrami sandwiches, caviar, and dancing. Guests included Hunter Schafer, Myha'la, Allison Williams, Rish Shah, Molly Gordon, and Ziwe. Chef Sam Lawrence of Chinatown's Bridges restaurant created a special menu. Later, Grandmaster Flash performed. Earlier at The Chelsea Hotel, director Nicolas Winding Refn and video game designer Hideo Kojima discussed their collaborative project Satellites, which debuted in Tokyo last year. The program included musical performances, workshops, DJ sets, and conversations, many live-streamed. Starting the following day, events opened to the public at satellite locations including Prada's SoHo boutique and the Angelika Theatre.
