PMA Films Presents Oscar-Nominated Shorts and Features for March 2026 Screenings

The Portland Museum of Art's PMA Films program is hosting screenings of 2026 Oscar-nominated short films and features throughout March. The Oscar-nominated short film packages in Documentary, Live Action, and Animated categories begin on February 20 and run for three weeks. Specific screening times are scheduled: Documentary Shorts on March 11 at 3 p.m. and March 12 at 12:30 p.m.; Live Action Shorts on March 11 at 12:30 p.m.; and Animated Shorts on March 12 at 4 p.m. Notable short films include Alison McAlpine's 'Perfectly a Strangeness', Joshua Seftel's 'All the Empty Rooms', and Geeta Gandbhir and Christalyn Hampton's 'The Devil is Busy'. The program also features Oscar-nominated feature films 'Sirât' by Oliver Laxe, screening multiple times from March 13 to March 26, and 'The Voice of Hind Rajab' by Kaouther Ben Hania, with encore screenings on March 13 at 6 p.m. and March 15 at 12 p.m. Additionally, 'The President's Cake' by Hasan Hadi, winner of the Caméra d'Or at Cannes, will be shown from March 20 to March 26.
