Photographic Social Vision Foundation Hosts Fourth Annual Photo Book Fair on Sant Jordi Day in Barcelona

On April 23, the Photographic Social Vision Foundation in Barcelona will host its fourth annual photo book fair, aligning with Sant Jordi Day. The event, which offers free entry, will take place at Villa Alegre, located at Via Augusta, 175, from 10:00 to 20:00. Participating publishers include Blume, Ediciones Posibles, Editorial RM, La Fábrica, and Phree. Photographer Claudia Toledo will showcase her acclaimed book 'Poquita Sangre. Maternidades después de los 40 años,' recipient of the VI Beca Joana Biarnés para Jóvenes Fotoperiodistas. Journalist Jordi Rovira will present an updated edition of 'Joana Biarnés. No será fácil. Historia de una pionera del fotoperiodismo.' Additionally, artist Maite Caramés will discuss 'Tout est possible,' which details a historical fraud. A book signing will feature photographers like Gervasio Sánchez and Luis Casadevall, along with foundation members. An exhibition will display unpublished images and vintage prints from the foundation's collection, featuring artists such as Isabel Azkarate, Joana Biarnés, and others. The day's activities will include presentations, a midday musical vermouth, and conclude at 20:00.
