Dame Pat McGrath served as lead makeup artist for Vogue World 2026: Milano, held at the Palazzo Giureconsulti. Working with a cast exceeding 300 models, dancers, actors, skateboarders, and musicians, McGrath and her team executed five distinct beauty acts reflecting Italian craft and innovation. For Act I, The Artisanal Revolution, Renaissance-inspired looks featured luminous skin, pale eyelids, and lip stains on models like Mariacarla Boscono and Fei Fei Sun. Act II, The Industrial Revolution, embraced gray suiting with varied smokey eyes and dark lips for Adriana Lima and Adria Arjona. Act III, inspired by Italian cinema and La Dolce Vita, showcased color-blocked eyes using McGrath's archival glitters from the 1990s and 2000, as seen on Imaan Hammam and Jennifer Lopez. Act IV, The Age of Intelligence, introduced bold lip colors—purples, blues, acid oranges—on Victoria Fawole. The final act, The Imagination Age, featured doll-like, otherworldly eyes with silver glitter and white lashes. McGrath traveled with 30 trunks of beauty products, a streamlined approach compared to past Vogue Worlds. Hair artist Cyndia Harvey and nail artist Eri Narita contributed to the looks.
